How will K-3 students from Leslie get to Marshall Elementary?

If your child rides a bus, their regular route bus will pick them up and take them to Marshall Elementary by no later than 7:30 a.m. Parents may drop off their child at Leslie by 7:15 a.m. where a bus will transport the child from Leslie to Marshall Elementary. Parents may also drop off their child at Marshall Elementary by 7:45 a.m.

How will K-3 students from Leslie get home?

All K-3 students who ride a Leslie route bus or will be picked up at Leslie will board bus number 35 (Vonda Harness) at the end of the school day. The buses will leave Marshall Elementary and stop at Marshall High School to pick up middle and high school students. At that time, Leslie students who ride a route bus will get off bus number 35 and will board their regular route bus. Students who will be picked up at Leslie will stay on the bus and that bus will take them to Leslie. The buses will load at Marshall High School between 3:20 and 3:30 p.m. Parents also have the option to pick their K-3 child up at Marshall Elementary in front of the cafeteria at 3:00 p.m.

What if I have a pre-school student and a student in K-3? Where will they be dropped off?

Enter the parking lot by the pre-school at the new entrance. From there, you can park and take your pre-school child into the pre-school. Your K-3 child can walk on the covered sidewalk from the pre-school to the cafeteria or to the gym if they are in third grade and it is after 7:25 a.m.

Where will my child eat breakfast in the morning?

All K-3 students should have an opportunity to eat breakfast at Marshall Elementary before 7:45 a.m. Marshall 4-6 grade students will also have an opportunity to eat breakfast at Marshall Elementary if they ride a bus. Parents who drop off their 4-6 grade student at Marshall Elementary must have them here in time to eat before the last bus leaves for Leslie at 7:40 a.m.

What if my child doesn’t eat breakfast in the cafeteria?

K-2 students arriving before 7:45 a.m. will come to the cafeteria in the morning, regardless of whether or not they are eating. Third grade students who arrive before 7:25 a.m. will also report to the cafeteria. At 7:25 a.m., third grade students may walk to the gym with the duty teacher if they are not eating breakfast in the cafeteria. Fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students who are not eating in the cafeteria will immediately board a bus to Leslie when they arrive. Those buses will depart as they are loaded.
